Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
On the website
- Sign in at ethia.io and open your profile.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Enter your password to confirm.
If you cannot sign in
Email support@ethia.io from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We check that the request comes from you, delete the account, and reply when it is done, within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account, and your name and email from our encrypted identity vault
- Your health record: lab results, medications, check-ins, symptoms, appointments and visit notes
- Your conversations with Ethia and what it remembered about you
- Documents and photos you uploaded
- Connections to your hospital records or Google Calendar
- Your notification settings and the devices signed in to your account
What is kept, and for how long
- Security and access logs, for up to 7 years, because health privacy rules require an audit trail. They record account activity, not your health record.
- Billing records, if you ever paid for Ethia, for as long as tax law requires.
- Records of taking part in a research study, where that study's rules require us to keep them.
- Backup copies, which are overwritten within 90 days.
- Aggregate figures that cannot be linked back to you.
