Ethia ("we," "our," or "us") operates a patient health companion platform that helps patients with autoimmune conditions understand their lab results, track their health journey over time, and connect with relevant resources and research opportunities.

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

2. Who Can Use Ethia

To use Ethia, you must:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Be a patient seeking to understand your own health data, OR
• Be an authorized representative of a research organization, pharmaceutical company, or healthcare institution

By using our services, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Please use a strong, unique password and do not share your login information with others.

4. What You Can Do on Ethia

As a patient, you can:

• Upload your lab results for AI-powered analysis
• Build a health profile to track your condition over time
• Receive personalized educational content about your condition
• Get matched with clinical trials and research opportunities
• Choose to share anonymized data with research organizations

You retain ownership of your health data. We do not sell your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we protect and use your data.

5. What You Cannot Do

You agree not to:

• Upload health data belonging to someone else without their explicit consent
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with the platform's operation or security
• Use automated systems to access the platform without permission
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Share your AI analysis as if it were professional medical advice

6. AI-Powered Analysis

Ethia uses artificial intelligence to analyze your lab results and provide educational insights. While we strive for accuracy, AI systems can make errors.

Our AI analysis is designed to help you understand patterns in your data and have more informed conversations with your healthcare providers. It is not a substitute for professional interpretation of your lab results.

We continuously work to improve our AI systems, but we cannot guarantee that all analysis will be error-free or applicable to your specific situation.

7. Research Matching

We may match you with clinical trials and research studies based on your health profile. These matches are informational only - we do not enroll you in any study without your explicit consent.

Research organizations see anonymized profiles only. They cannot identify you unless you choose to reveal your identity by expressing interest in a specific opportunity.

Ethia does not guarantee that you will qualify for any particular study, and we are not responsible for the conduct of third-party research organizations.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep Ethia available 24/7, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance, updates, or experience technical difficulties.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice when possible for significant changes.

9. Fees and Subscriptions

Ethia requires a paid subscription to access platform features. Subscription plans and current pricing are displayed at the time of purchase. We offer monthly and annual billing options, and may offer promotional pricing for new subscribers.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees until you cancel.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation, you retain access to platform features through the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing cycle.

Ethia may also offer promotional access through referral programs or partnership arrangements with advocacy organizations and healthcare institutions. Terms for promotional access will be communicated at the time of enrollment.

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes apply at your next renewal — your current billing cycle is honored at the original rate.

10. Intellectual Property

The Ethia platform, including our software, designs, text, and AI systems, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without permission.

You retain ownership of your health data. By uploading data to Ethia, you grant us a license to process, analyze, and store that data to provide our services to you.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ethia and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services.

We are not liable for any health outcomes that result from decisions you make based on information from our platform. Always consult with qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions.

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. We will provide notice when possible.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the platform. Your continued use of Ethia after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Chester County, Pennsylvania.
