Your first check-in

A check-in is you telling Ethia how you are doing today. It is the single most useful thing you can do here, and it takes less time than making coffee. Here is exactly how, one step at a time.

About 30 seconds · 4 steps
1

Open the check-in

On your home screen, find the button that says Log today's check-in and click it. It sits just below your recent chat, above the box where you type to Ethia.

You did it right if: a page opens titled “How are you feeling today?” with a couple of sliding scales.

2

Slide the scales to match your day

Drag each slider left or right to where you are today. Left is worse, right is better. There are no wrong answers, and you can leave any of them alone. A blank tells Ethia more than a guess.

How are you feeling today?

Answer what you like and skip the rest. A blank is more useful to me than a guess.

Last check-in, 1 month ago: you logged it without scoring anything. Across 4 check-ins your severity ratings went 5/10 → 5/10.

You did it right if: each slider you touched moved, and the green dot stays where you left it.

Add a note optional

If something is on your mind, open More Details and type it in your own words. A rough night, a new symptom, a good day. This is optional, but it is the part Ethia remembers best. Skip it whenever you like.

Anything else on your mind, like “rough night, woke up stiff,” “good day, walked the dog,” or “started a new med Monday.”

Nothing to check here. This step is yours to skip. Ethia is just as happy with taps as with words.

4

Save, and watch Ethia answer

Click Save check-in at the bottom. That is it, you are done. Ethia brings you back to your home screen and says something back about what you just logged.

Thanks for logging that. That's a harder day than a few you've logged lately. I've noted it, and I'll keep an eye out for a pattern.

You did it right if: Ethia replies with a short note about your day. That reply is your confirmation. It saved, and Ethia is now working from what you told it.

That is a full check-in. Do one whenever something changes, or a few times a week. The more you do, the more Ethia can connect for you.
